Memorial Day Weekend!!

What a great Memorial Day Weekend we had. We had friends over for a cookout...Avery had her first pool experience with her friend Avery and her first lime. She loved floating around in her car float...just relaxing!! She isnt big enough to put her legs in the hole since she still cant set up, but she did so good just laying in the float. As you can tell from the video she isnt crazy about the lime.

Tummy Sleeper!!

April 27th was the first time for Avery to roll over during the night. As you can see from the picture we swaddle her at night. We heard once they start rolling over then it's time to stop swaddling. We decided to continue swaddling her since she was not a fan of just wearing pajamas to bed. Monday morning she woke up at 4:00 half way out of the swaddle on her tummy. So we decided it was time to lose the swaddle. Monday night was the first time without the swaddle and she fell fast asleep until we laid her on her back ....she wasnt having it. She kept rolling to her side, so we decided to put her on her tummy to she if she would stop crying. SHE IS A TUMMY SLEEPER!!! Needless to say I got no sleep since I watched the monitor all night to make sure she was still breathing. We are still learning how to roll back over from our tummy to our back. I'm sure it will happen very soon.

Anderson's 1st Birthday

Avery got to attend her first birthday party this weekend. She had such a great time playing in the water...only with her hands. Erika did such a great job on Anderson's first birthday. It was a frog theme and everything was green...so cute. Anderson did a great job eating his cake!! Thanks for inviting us Erika.

It doesnt matter if it rains

So Saturday when it rained most of the day Austin decided he wanted to plant flowers...yes I said plant flowers. We have had the flowers for a couple of weeks and just been so busy, so he had nothing to do Saturday morning and decided this would be the only time he could get it done. Here are a few pictures of him working in the mud soaking wet. He didnt get to finish b/c he ran out of plants. The finish pictures will come later.

Gaga and Papa babysitting

Austin's parents came in town Saturday for Mother's Day, so Austin and I decided to have a date night and let the grandparents keep Avery. This was there first time alone with Avery. Everything was going fine until around 9:00ish when we got a phone call from them letting us know that she had been crying for about an hour. They just hated to have to call us, but they had tried to give her a bath (she loves them), take all her clothes off, just about everything. S0 we decided to head home. As I walk into our laundry room (leads through garage) they had Avery in her car seat on the washer machine. I just about died laughing....she was sound asleep. So if you ever have a crying baby here is something new to try. It works.!!

Avery's 4 months old

As of yesterday Avery is now 4 months old. Where does the time go? I feel like it was just yesterday when I was lying in the hospital bed getting ready to push her out. It has been so much fun watching her change. We have our 4 month shots next Tuesday and I am not excited about it...but am excited to find out how big she has gotten.
