Fun times at Gattis Town

Aves and I met her friends Brooks and Ryan at Gatti town about a week ago. This place is a lot like Chuck-e-cheese but way better. They have a pizza buffet, tons of games, bowling, putt putt, and go carts. Its a great place to have lunch and burn off some energy.
The kids had such a great time. Especially since Aves and Brooks thinks they are boyfriend and girlfriend. Really..how do they even know about this stuff at 3?

Orr Family Farm

Aves school had family night at Orr Family Farm in Moore,OK. There was tons of things to do there: carousel, train ride, play around, pony rides, a maze, petting/feeding animals and much more. We had a great time and will for sure take Aves again.

New Happenings

Not only in April will the showers come,
the Brooks' will be adding a little one!
A twister like nobody's ever seen;
Our li'l Texas Tornado in OKC.

So keep us in your thoughts,
Keep us in your prayers,
"Cause before we all know it,
Baby #2 will be here.

Yes, its true! After a year of trying we are finally pregnant!! The question "what took so long" is still in the back of my head. But I think our lives are finally settling down and God knew the best time to expand our family.
(most can pass over this part) I must admit I meet with an OB here in OK to see if maybe something was wrong, since I developed a thyroid disease after having Aves. He informed me that wasnt the problem and that it can take longer for some. He was just so super positive. He thought maybe I could have a luteal phase defeat and advised me to do an ovulation kit. I do not like these things b/c they stress me out!  I'll spare all the details, but within less then a month I was pregnant. God is good! I think I needed a little reassurance that nothing was wrong with me.
So what else is going on. Aves is finally adjusting a lot better to the new house, school and not being able to see all her friends back home. She is doing everything she was doing back home, dance and tumbling and just started soccer. She was all about soccer, until she became a little boy crazy. Which has actually been a great thing since we have made some really great friends from it.
Austin and I have started meeting some new friends which has actually been great. Now we are trying to get more involved in LifeChurch, which is where we have been attending since we moved here.
Now that we are getting settled in, I'll be picking back up blogging.  So please check back to keep up with our happenings.

AND SO IT BEGINS

If you know my husband at all you know he loves planting. He is super serious about how the yard looks. I mean who uses a tape measure to plant some flowers? My husband! At least our yard looks good, because I know nothing about yard work.
He now has a little helper who has grown to like dirt. She has to have her gloves on and still cant stand it if dirt gets in her shoes. So she is either barefoot or has her rainboots on. Hopefully she will learn a little about planting since I sure never did.

NOT WORTH THE FIGHT!

Today Aves and I got out of the house to run some errands. It's so windy in Oklahoma so I usually pull her hair in a ponytail. She really wanted to wear the bow that matches her outfit and then the headband. I asked her to pick one, her reply, "mom they both match." I don't think I would have minded the headband so much if it was actually worn right. Sometimes you gotta suck it up and let them have their own style. Looks like her sense of style comes from her daddy. Love how she looks so proud in the picture.

BUSTED LIP

Aves had her first busted lip. (the picture doesn't do it justice.) I had driven to Arlington on Thursday to get my hair done. Aves was perfect the whole time. She was sitting in one of the chairs and as we are getting ready to leave her foot get stuck and her face hit the floor. She had a little bump on her forehead but she was more concerned about the blood from her lip. I was so scared she hit her tooth too. Nothing a blue sucker couldn't fix to make her blue lip. The sweetest thang, after we left she said, mom I'm so sorry, it was an accident. I guess she thought I was upset with her. Love my sweet sweet girl.
Well the weekend only got worse. We headed to Tyler on Friday and by Saturday Aves nose was running like a faucet. So we took her to a clinic and sure enough another ear infection. So round 2 of tubes is schedule for May 14. I'm not looking forward to the day of surgery but I want her out of pain. Please keep her in your prayers that all goes well.
